Engineering Specification

Basic Unit
The basic frame is a welded fabrication of mild steel angle for maximum rigidity, clad with 16g zinc coated steel sheet.

Fan Motors
A totally enclosed fan cooled motor is fitted as standard, wound for 380/415 volts, 3 phase.
Flameproof motors can be supplied if required.

Fan
All fans used are of the centrifugal, double inlet type.
Vertical, and smaller Horizontal Dorseals have a single fan. The larger Horizontal units for wide doorways incorporate a fan at each end. This ensures the optimum air pattern over the full width of discharge nozzle.

Fan Drive
This consists of matched Vee pulleys and belts fitted to shafts by taper lock bushes - the drive is totally enclosed by a steel guard which can be easily removed for belt adjustment.

Discharge Cowl
Cowls, either straght, offset or right angled are designed to provide a narrow curtain of high velocity warm air avross the door opening, discharging at approximately 10 deg towards the outside.

Heater
Battery
The heater battery is constructed from the well proven Gunning steel spirally wound gilled (Finned) tubing and is specifically designed for use with either water or steam.
All batteries are pressure tested to 500 p.s.i.g. or 35.153 Kg/CM2.

General
After assembly all units are tested for correct output velocity and performance, then painted with our Gunning blue 'hammer' finish.
